About the application
I became a part of a team responsible for overseeing the user experience (UX) of an existing Learning Management System (LMS). Subsequently, a new proposal emerged to enhance the current LMS platform by making it more intricate and user-friendly for authors, teachers, and students. The goal also included to make it optimize the display for a wide range of devices, spanning from as small as 320px mobile screen to as large as a 1519px width monitor.
Process & Timeline

What is an LMS platform
Think of an LMS (Learning Management System) like your personal guide in the digital realm of learning. It's a clever software buddy that helps schools, companies, and organizations handle the whole learning shebang in a smooth and organized way.
Imagine you're a teacher or a trainer. Instead of juggling papers and chasing emails, this digital sidekick lets you create, organize, and dish out your lessons or training materials. It's like your virtual classroom or training ground.
The high level architect is something like this:-
So here the LMS is manily have 3 logins the begining with authoring, where the main is to create content, text, assignment and items for teacher, classrooms, students.Next comes the Teacher and student login. Here on authoring LMS platform they can add create preview student mode or teacher grading mode to review the question type. There are Multiple question types to be preciese this platform support 42 quesion types and multiple tools and are called resource and tools and they are around 5 of them.
My design work
I participated in an Agile workflow, contributing to daily Scrum calls, weekly sprint planning, reviews, demos, and retrospective meetings. Additionally, I played a role in creating initial architectures and designing/developing UI screens for 40+ question types.
Design Scenario
In mid-2023, the client introduced a crucial requirement to implement accessibility rules for disabled students, authors, and content members. Currently, no accessibility support is provided to these members. The client has tasked us with developing a straightforward accessibility approach to address this need to pass Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.
My responsibilities
I entered the team in the role of a junior UX design analyst. I focused on crafting information architecture flows, high-fidelity mockups, and conducting usability studies with clients. I also handled cross-platform/browser testing, use-case testing, and developed comprehensive user stories for development.
Authoring a question type
In educational settings, teachers or author may engage in question authoring to create different types of questions, such as multiple-choice questions, true/false questions, short answer questions, essay questions, and more. Each question type serves a specific purpose and assesses different cognitive skills.
